For those of you who have not heard, it is with a heavy heart I announce that Chris Graham passed away on October 3, 2012. Dad died suddenly yet peacefully in his sleep sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The last person to speak with him was my Mom, his wife Carol, as she hugged him and adjusted his sheets. They even joked as they often did in the early hours of the morning. The cause of death, most likely, was a heart attack. ALS patients often die from heart attacks due to compromised circulation. We are still in shock, though thankful Dad died this way under the circumstances of his illness. In fact, upon learning of his diagnosis in May 2011, he often commented he hoped he would die peacefully in his sleep.
Everyone should know that Chris Graham truly lived his life to the fullest- down to the very last minute. His last weeks were spent with close family and friends. I was fortunate to accompany Dad, along with his brother Steve, to Oklahoma, where we spent time with his family. His last day on Earth was spent outside in the sun with his best friends and neighbor.
He loved and never knew a stranger.
Memorial services for Chris Graham will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Northside Drive Baptist Church in Atlanta. See link below for directions.

Thank you for this message that expresses your Dad's spirit so well. Will there be a time for visitation and remembering with family and friends Friday evening or before the service Saturday, and if so, where and when?
